When a user searches for business types within a specific geographical location, they are given a list of businesses within that local area which are to do with the original search query. How to place your business on Google Local.
- Open up your Internet browser and enter https://www.google.com/local into the address bar.
- Select "Put your business on Google Maps" on the left hand side of the page.
- Follow the basic setup steps required by Google. This will involve creating a Google account and then entering details about your business such as the name, address and a contact telephone number.
Once your business has been placed on Google Local, customers will now be able to search for your business as well as leave reviews about your store for other users to read.
With 97% of all consumers searching for a local business online, it is a great way to get some much needed publicity completely for free!
